Senior Manager of Community Healing

Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Alaska Native community to select artists for installation of monuments into the Traditional Healing Garden
Execute a Healing Oral History Project
Maintain records of landscaping, plants, harvesting, community programming, and other activities which occur within the Traditional Healing Garden
Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information
Liaise with partners to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives for activities within the garden
Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
Maintain awareness of the budget associated with the garden
Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
Act as the point of contact for all aspects of the garden
Engage with stakeholders about the use of the space
Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement)
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, plans, and reports

Required

Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures
Strong interest in traditional healing, horticulture, arts, and culture
Good communication skills
