Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of litigation through the pretrial phase, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, depositions and trial preparation
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis using Westlaw
Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
Communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy, progress and updates
Draft high-quality legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses and legal memoranda
Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
Work collaboratively with the trial team
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Florida bar and in good standing
3+ years of litigation experience, whether on the defense or plaintiff side
Substantial experience with legal research, writing, and depositions required
Personal injury litigation experience required
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage cases through the pretrial phase
Strong legal research and writing skills, with proficiency using Westlaw
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to transition seamlessly from independent pretrial work to collaborative trial-team advocacy
Preferred
Medical malpractice experience is preferred
