Responsibilities

Serve internal and external clients by being responsive and reliable

Continually ask questions and grow in your relative field. Our employees will gladly answer any questions you have to provide an enjoyable and rewarding internship experience

Construction observation and documentation, field testing and field measurements (construction CQA)

Construction progress reports and communicate with project team, contractor, and client as required

Soil and water sampling

Assist with drafting, computer modeling, data entry, preparation of construction plans and specifications, technical memos, and reports, as required

Provide support to other groups within Stantec, as business needs dictate and workload allows, for exposure to other disciplines and client types related to engineering and environmental science

Qualification

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field OR an Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related program

Ability to work outdoors in various weather and terrain conditions

Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and do repetitive work such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time

Valid Driver's License

Strong communication skills and customer service experience are desired

Preferred

Previous construction observation experience is strongly preferred

Additional relevant experience is also preferred, including soil testing, surveying, drafting, and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
