Team Lead Pallet Repair First Shift

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a permanent full-time Repair Team Lead to ensure excellent craftsmanship at their manufacturing facility. The role involves overseeing pallet repair operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safety compliance in the workplace.

Transportation/Trucking/Railroad

Responsibilities

Pallet Repair
Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards
Manually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table
Operate a pry bar to detach damaged boards from the pallets
Operate a grinder and a saw to remove existing nails and use a 25 lb nail gun to nail together the components
Quality
Pallet must meet and pass CHEP's quality control audit
Safety and Security
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety
Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets
Performs duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work within a diverse work environment
Highly thorough and dependable
Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
Performs work independently with minimal supervision
Possesses a high degree of initiative
Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8 hour day)
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Ability to be a team player
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Ability to comprehend basic math
Ability to operate power equipment in a safe manner
Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 70 lbs
Ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
Ability to work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting
Ability to follow repair process

Preferred

3 years or more in Warehouse/Manufacturing/Production Environment
1 year or more in Construction or Carpentry
