Talent Bridge is hiring for an experienced Traveling Substation Technician to support utility-scale electrical infrastructure projects across the United States. This field-based role requires hands-on substation experience and prioritizes safety, quality, and operational reliability in dynamic construction environments.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems within utility substations
Perform work on transformers, breakers, switchgear, grounding systems, and control wiring
Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on energized and non-energized equipment
Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, and site-specific safety protocols
Maintain accurate daily reports and inspection records
Coordinate with foremen, engineers, and project managers
Support mobilization and demobilization of materials and equipment
Assist with timely completion of field-based construction activities

Qualification

Required

Minimum 5 years of experience in substation or utility-related electrical work
Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and PPE requirements
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and wiring schematics
Familiarity with substation equipment including breakers, relays, and control systems
Willingness to travel nationwide on a full-time basis
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Ability to work extended hours and overtime as required
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred

Experience with utility providers or EPC contractors
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Experience operating construction or material-handling equipment
