Inventory Accountant
Pearl River Foods is a growing company within the Poultry Processing Industry that was established in 2018. They are seeking an Inventory Accountant to oversee inventory management activities, prepare accurate inventory reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze inventory data.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update inventory records
Perform regular audits of inventory levels
Reconcile inventory discrepancies
Analyze inventory costs and identify variances
Prepare inventory reports for management review
Coordinate physical inventory counts
Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse departments
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Monitor and report on slow-moving and obsolete inventory items
Develop and implement inventory control procedures
Review and process inventory adjustments
Provide support during financial audits
Evaluate and recommend improvements to inventory management systems
Qualification
Required
Strong expertise in Inventory Management and Analytical Skills
Solid understanding and experience in Finance-related tasks
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex data
Proficient in inventory management software and accounting systems
Effective communication and organizational skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
