TFC Recruitment Coordinator

Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch is dedicated to connecting youth waiting for permanent homes with families who wish to adopt. The TFC Recruitment Coordinator will implement and coordinate recruitment, matching, and support services for youth in active recruitment status, utilizing a child-focused recruitment model to identify permanent resources for youth.

Responsibilities

Work in partnership with state and tribal agency staff to identify youth for referrals to the WWK program
Review the case record, interview the youth, caseworker, other agency staff with knowledge of the case and any available family members and/or other supportive connections to assist in the recruitment process
Utilize internet search tools to identify and locate resources within the youth's network
Develop an initial written adoption readiness assessment describing the youth's understanding and feelings about adoption
Create child-focused recruitment plans for the youth
Meet with the youth on a monthly basis
Communicate with the caseworker on a monthly basis to review the progress of the recruitment plan
Meet with family members and supportive connections to discuss the progress of locating permanent resources for the youth
Once matched, provide all required training for licensure and complete SAFE Home Study process to license identified family
Work with the caseworker, youth and the adoptive resource to ensure preplacement visits are implemented
Assist with the development and coordination of the transition plan with the youth and matched family. Work with the youth and family during the transition process to assist with placement support
Work in conjunction with the caseworker to ensure that the adoptive family is working towards adoption finalization
Submit monthly data in the WWK database
Assist in creation and distribution of YBGR/WWK print literature and social media campaigns to support marketing and recruitment efforts. Edit content as necessary
Assist in the development and implementation of licensure Preservice trainings and ongoing foster care monthly training
Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes. Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals of the organization both individually and as a team member
Deal constructively and helpfully with all other members of the organization
Fully support and model the mission and values of YBGR
Adhere to all policies, systems, safety requirements, and procedures of the organization
Take the initiative to identify problems and seek out solutions
Be a professional representative of the organization to those outside it
Participate and engage in monthly supervision/coaching meetings with the supervisor
Be aware of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons served
Participate in required training as appropriate to the position and beneficial to YBGR

Required

Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, ministry or human service field preferred. + In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a High School Diploma with a combination of education and experience working with teams of people involving mentoring, recruitment, and coordinator will be considered
21 years old or older
Previous Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working in the mental health or child welfare field
License and/or Certification: Driver's License to operate passenger vehicle
Good computer/technology skills and ability to quickly learn and use YBGR selected software solutions
Well organized, able to prioritize tasks, and provide a high level of accuracy
Adept at listening, problem-solving, and teamwork
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Display regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at work
Experience facilitating trainings and engaging in recruitment activities
Experience preparing home studies
Understand the child welfare system and have knowledge of issues surrounding foster care, adoption, trauma, medical and developmental needs and the importance of legal permanency as well as maintain familiarity with state child welfare rules and procedures and the juvenile and/or probate court systems
Demonstrate ability to provide excellent family support/customer service
Ability and willingness to travel with flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends
Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance: Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana
