Structural Drafting Technician
Chris Holmes, P.E. & Associates, Inc. is a structural engineering firm that has been serving Southeastern North Carolina for over 35 years. They are seeking a Structural Drafting Technician to create technical structural drawings and collaborate with engineers on residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities
Prefer recent graduates with an associate’s degree or higher in Architectural Technology, Drafting (or similar degree) or individuals with 1 year experience or more in structural / architectural drafting
Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2018 or newer and be able to create drafted structural plans as directed by office staff
Must have an understanding of architectural plans, elevations, sections and other technical documents to use in performing job duties
Responsible for reviewing your own plans for errors and omissions prior to final engineer’s review
Responsible for assisting office staff and answering client questions through phone, email, or meetings
Field visits will be required occasionally to consult with clients, take dimensions, or document framing conditions for ongoing projects
Responsible for printing, copying, and scanning structural drawings in preparation for release
Must have strong English language communication skills
Must have a positive attitude, good attention to detail, and problem solving skills
Must be able to work full-time at our office location
Must be able to work with others in a team environment
Must have reliable transportation
Potential for learning engineering concepts and techniques on the job with opportunity to become an Engineering Technician under the supervision of the Principle Engineer
