Program Manager - Ilakucaraq Project

The Alaska Native Heritage Center, Incorporated is seeking a Program Manager for the Ilakucaraq Project, which supports Alaska Native youth and their educators. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, developing community partnerships, supervising staff, and ensuring the successful implementation of the project through various educational initiatives.

Responsibilities

Responsible for execution of project goals and deliverables
Develop and deepen community partnerships pertinent to the Ilakucaraq Project
Supervise the Cultural Program Coordinator, interns assigned to the project, and contractors
Meet regularly with the Cultural Program Coordinator, external contractors, and other internal staff to discuss planned activities
Coordinate with community partners to collect data for reporting purposes
Complete and submit reports as required
Coordinate the search process for contractors and oversight of deliverables by contractors
Ensure confidentiality and security of electronic and paper files
Assist participants with necessary paperwork to participate in program

Required

Have knowledge of Alaska, Alaska's history, and Alaska Native cultures
Understand ANHC's mission, direction, and history or be willing to receive training
Familiarity with local available service agencies
Demonstrated understanding of FERPA and HIPAA regulations and requirements
Development of curricula, programmatic schedules, and scopes of work for contractors
Have advanced writing and public speaking skills
Have advanced computer skills, including all Microsoft Office Suite products
Skill in the use of copier, fax, and other office equipment
Advanced skills with virtual products, such as GoToMeeting, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc
Willing to learn the operation of all audio and visual equipment
As a mandated reporter, the ability to assess and determine the visible signs and subtle clues that lead to the need to report in order to protect a child's wellbeing
Ability to assess programs being selected are appropriate to level of participant per program plans
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals with varying strengths and abilities
Be able to prepare reports in word and excel
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Preferred

Master's Degree in Education or related field preferred
Three to five years' experience managing grant programs
Or five to seven years of related experience
