Program Manager, Learning & Experience
Liberation in a Generation (LibGen) is a movement support organization dedicated to advancing the economic liberation of people of color within one generation. The Program Manager, Learning & Experience is responsible for supporting the design and facilitation of learning and partnership engagement experiences that build the power, capacity and knowledge of people of color to transform the economy.

Responsibilities
Develop, design and deliver engaging, interactive, learning materials and experiences, to include: curriculum, training materials, facilitation guides for workshops, political education, and other experiences predominantly for adults with various levels of experience, content expertise, knowledge, and literacy
Support the creation of visual and experiential design materials used to advance learning in groups, 1:1 engagements with partners, and more; depending on the situation, either producing materials oneself or clearly articulating objectives, needs and revisions to visual and/or experiential designer(s) to produce the necessary materials
Plan and manage logistics for learning and experience events
Thoughtfully identify and refine partners’ needs, including learning objectives and/or session objectives, audiences, and logistical considerations in order to craft appropriate, authentic and engaging experiences; quickly iterate and refine plans and/or materials based on emergent priorities and partner needs
Facilitate engaging and immersive group learning engagements and/or experiences that actively and meaningfully engage participants while demonstrating flexibility and ability to adapt / improvise based on emergent needs and priorities
Support partners in developing their own learning engagements through 1:1 coaching and/or capacity building
Manage projects involving staff and external partner organizations by developing project work plans, coordinating schedules, facilitating check-in calls, and tracking progress toward deliverables
Steward a culture that is aligned with LibGen’s stated values

Qualification
Required
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience developing and delivering popular / political education, trainings, curricula, capacity-building, or other adult learning experiences
Experienced project manager with a proven track record of leading project teams, using a variety of tools and strategies to stay on track and keep lines of communication open across teams
Ability to function and collaborate effectively with other staff and external partners, and to work with their peers to deliver projects that advance LibGen's organizational vision, mission and theory of change
Experience with designing and implementing learning experiences (virtual and in person) for adults, and using meeting tools like Zoom, Google Meet, Miro, etc
Ability to receive critique and direction gracefully from both peers and partner organizations in order to iterate / improve upon approaches. Willingness to quickly experiment, prototype, and iterate upon plans in ways that advance project objectives and LibGen goals
High level of comfort working remotely and independently. Ability to carry out tasks and use good judgment with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain regular check-ins with supervisor and the entire team regarding workload/capacity, priorities, and any challenges or difficulties with assignments
Preferred
Bilingual English / Spanish proficiency is preferred; at minimum, elementary Spanish proficiency is desirable
Fluency with visual communication design (experience in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Illustrator and InDesign) preferred, for designing and producing print or digital materials for workshops, gatherings, and other events. At minimum, experience communicating and working closely with visual / experiential designers is desirable
Experience building and maintaining relationships with community members, organizations, or leaders and/or planning and facilitating community events, learning experiences, or campaigns to address social issues
Ability to generate insightful ideas and proposals, take a concept from idea to implementation with limited guidance, and leverage resources to creatively solve problems
