The macOS Systems Engineer will be responsible for the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of macOS endpoints, ensuring secure and scalable solutions that integrate with the company's backend systems.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain macOS agents and services for device enrollment, policy enforcement, and telemetry collection
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI/ML scientists, OS engineers, and security architects to design and implement robust solutions
Define resource utilization limits and optimize solutions to provide AI powered management & security on the endpoint while maintaining a lightweight footprint
Implement endpoint hardening, patching workflows, and secure boot processes
Build telemetry pipelines for real-time monitoring and anomaly detection
Work closely with Windows and Linux engineers to ensure consistent cross-OS policy enforcement
Contribute to backend services that orchestrate device state, user identity, and access control
Ensure compliance with enterprise-grade security standards and contribute to threat modeling and mitigation strategies
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in macOS systems engineering or endpoint management
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Proven track record with endpoint management platforms (Jamf, Kandji, Intune) and Apple's enterprise APIs
Experience building or maintaining macOS agents or daemons
Solid engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Swift, C++, or Rust
Familiarity with macOS internals, launchd, system extensions, and kernel-level concepts
Startup-ready: comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and building without a safety net
Security-conscious: you think in terms of threat models and attack surfaces
Collaborative: you thrive in cross-functional teams and enjoy mentoring others
Preferred
Understanding of secure distribution software and endpoint security tools (EDR, AV, VPN)
Experience with Zero Trust architectures or identity-aware endpoint controls
Familiarity with Apple's Platform SSO and integration with Azure AD or Okta
Contributions to open-source macOS tooling or security frameworks
