Head of Copywriting (Direct Response)
DryStill is an e-commerce company focused on building and selling consumer products in the United States. They are seeking a Head of Copywriting to own messaging across key acquisition assets and shape copy standards while collaborating with various teams to ensure consistent and effective marketing communications.
Responsibilities
Own copy strategy across funnels and acquisition channels
Write and review VSL scripts (hooks, leads, body, offers, CTAs)
Write and optimize advertorials (structure, credibility, flow, compliance tone)
Write performance-driven ad copy (Meta/Google/YouTube variations)
Write and optimize landing page and funnel copy (above-the-fold, sections, CTAs)
Collaborate with video editors, designers, and developers to implement and iterate quickly
Create a structured testing approach for messaging and angles (with clear documentation)
Establish copy guidelines and a review process to maintain consistency and quality
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in Direct Response Copywriting for e-commerce/consumer products
Strong portfolio across: VSL copy, Advertorials, Ad copy, Landing page/funnel copy
Ability to share relevant samples and measurable outcomes (case studies, metrics, or clear performance context)
Strong editing/proofreading skills and attention to clarity, structure, and accuracy
Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with marketing and creative teams
Able to work autonomously and take ownership in a remote environment
Fluent professional English
Preferred
Experience working closely with performance marketing teams
Experience setting copy processes or mentoring other writers
Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive categories (a plus)
