Program Coordinator, Leadership Development Institute

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Silicon Valley Chapter is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Leadership Development Institute. This role involves organizing educational programs, managing budgets, and providing support for both in-person and virtual events, while also contributing to business development efforts.

Responsibilities

Assist the program manager with organizing existing custom educational courses
Support the team in the development of new programs
Monitor course registrations and provide information to potential enrollees
Manage various financial aspects such as vendor services
Prepare and reconcile program budgets
Support the program manager with developing programmatic marketing plans
Support faculty coordination for educational programs
Provide support for both in-person and virtual events, managing classroom setup and materials preparation
Coordinate client meetings, manage CRM data entry, generate reports, and assist with proposal preparation

Required

Working knowledge of departmental and organization policies and procedures; knowledge of educational program content and objectives
Working knowledge of delivering public educational programs
Working knowledge of current public education programs and trends
Working skills to produce and deliver programs
Working knowledge of conducting needs assessment
Good analytical skills to understand how business needs can be addressed through the design and delivery of training programs
Good reading, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and good presentation skills
Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
3-5 years of higher education program management experience, preferably in Executive Education or Continuing Education environment
