Responsibilities

Lead the creation and execution of the annual budget
Make sound, well-informed decisions that align operational priorities with the Board’s strategic goals
Keep the Board fully informed on financial performance, customer engagement, operational risks, and progress toward strategic initiatives
Build trust, accountability, and engagement across the organization
Foster a positive and high-performing culture by investing in employee development, setting clear expectations, and leading with integrity
Serve as a representative of Jasper County REMC at Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC), Wabash Valley Power Alliance (WVPA), and throughout the local community
Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Champion innovation and represent the cooperative with professionalism and purpose
Consistently behave and present oneself in a professional, ethical, and accountable manner
Demonstrate a strong ethical foundation and be recognized as a selfless leader who prioritizes people
Clearly communicate expectations, goals, and vision in a way that provides direction, alignment, and enthusiasm
Mentor leaders and develop talent while holding teams accountable for high performance
Promote collaboration and partnership between the Board of Directors and staff to achieve shared objectives
Build and maintain productive relationships with regulatory agencies, legislative partners, members, and key external stakeholders
Demonstrate strong business and financial acumen, interpreting financial metrics and evaluating risk
Uphold and reinforce safety standards across the cooperative

Required

Senior executive leadership experience, preferably within an electric cooperative, utility, energy, broadband, or similarly regulated environment
Demonstrated success leading both complex business operations and people, including developing leaders, managing performance, and driving organizational alignment
Proven ability to work effectively with a Board of Directors, providing strategic counsel, transparent reporting, and sound recommendations
Strong financial and business acumen, including oversight of budgets, financial performance, risk management, and long-term strategic planning
Bachelor's degree required

Advanced degree or executive leadership training preferred
