Responsibilities
Provide engineering services supporting NAS systems and FAA business IT systems
Support Air Transportation operational locations, including:
Facility maintenance and remediation
System modifications and upgrades
Equipment repair and sustainment activities
Develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts, including but not limited to:
Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
Verification Requirements Traceability Matrices (VRTM)
Operational Services and Environment Definitions (OSED)
Support R&D activities as required under the SETTS program
Collaborate with cross-functional FAA stakeholders and technical teams
Provide clear technical documentation and program planning support
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of or experience with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS)
Experience with Enterprise Architecture and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
Strong data analysis capabilities
Working knowledge of probability and statistics at the undergraduate level
Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills in Microsoft Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Technical writing experience using Microsoft Word
Experience supporting program planning and execution
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science
Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience
A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered, provided the experience requirement is met
Preferred
Aviation experience as a pilot or air traffic controller
Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
OMG SysML certification preferred
