Staff Hardware Engineer - Electrical Engineering

The Staff Hardware Engineer role is responsible for design, modeling/simulation, and testing of electronics throughout the entire product lifecycle, ensuring high quality and efficiency in product development.

Responsibilities

You will be recognized by leadership and your peers as a technical expert in your field
You will be responsible for all aspects of electronics design, modeling / simulation and test
You will analyze data and specifications to determine the feasibility of product proposals
You will address ambiguity, changing priorities and complex problems efficiently and effectively
You will ensure designs achieve the highest quality at the lowest cost with the lowest cycle times
You will implement and contribute to cross-functional design reviews to maximize quality
You will embrace a culture of low-cost design, innovation and efficient design methods
You will implement processes and tools to maximize product quality and minimize cycle times
You will collaborate cross-functionally to design and deliver to agreed-upon project milestones and timelines
You will mentor and motivate junior engineers via an open, inclusive and collaborative environment

Required

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Master's degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience
You have extensive wireless (NFC, BLE, Wi-Fi) electronics design and test experience
You design and execute test methods utilizing test automation tools (C++, Python)
You are proficient using RF test equipment; Experience with ANSYS, Altium, Cadence / OrCAD tools a plus
You have a proven track record of executing in a deadline driven, fast paced environment
You communicate with transparency and your actions reflect honesty, equity and inclusion
You promote collaboration, encouraging open dialogue and listening to diverse perspectives
You overcome obstacles and consistently achieve outcomes that move the organization forward
You embrace a culture of low-cost design, encouraging innovation and efficient design methods
You clearly and concisely convey technical information to diverse audiences via technical design reviews
