Reviews permit applications
Coordinates reviews with other internal and external stakeholders
Completes all necessary work associated with the execution and issuance of encroachment permits
Inspects permit work to ensure compliance with traffic control requirements and all applicable regulations, statutes, and standards throughout District 3
Attends and represents Caltrans at meetings on permit policies, procedures, and requirements

Required

Possession of a valid Driver's License is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Transportation Engineer (Civil) exam
Candidates are required to review the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) for this classification
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
If you are basing your eligibility on education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification
Candidates selected for this position must successfully pass a Department of Justice background check

The State application (STD. 678) is required, and each section must be filled out completely and thoroughly

Preferred

Appointment to Range D requires a valid Professional Engineering License (Civil) issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers
