Curriculum Writer (K–5 Social-Emotional Learning)

InnerJoy Ed is reimagining preventive mental health education for children, aiming to build emotional intelligence through engaging learning. They are seeking an experienced K–5 Curriculum Writer to design a comprehensive elementary SEL curriculum, which includes writing lessons, developing video scripts, and collaborating with experts in the field.

Primary/Secondary Education

Responsibilities

Write comprehensive K–5 SEL lessons across all grade bands
Develop scripts for engaging video-based instruction
Design creative movement, reflection, and art-based activities
Collaborate with neuroscientists, therapists, SEL experts, educators, and a production team
Ensure content is developmentally appropriate, evidence-based, and classroom-ready
Coordinate closely with video production, graphics, and implementation teams

Qualification

K–5 curriculum developmentChild development understandingSEL frameworks experienceWriting skills for childrenAI tools proficiencyCollaboration with expertsCreativity in curriculum design

Required

7+ years of K–5 curriculum development experience
Strong understanding of child development (ages 5–11)
Experience with SEL frameworks (CASEL preferred)
Excellent writing skills for children, educators, and digital delivery
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Notion AI, and Grammarly to support curriculum design, research, and grade-level adaptation

Preferred

Bonus: familiarity with CBT, ACT, DBT, neuroscience, mindfulness, or trauma-informed education
