Vice President of Lending
Calcasieu Teachers & Employees Credit Union is a community-driven institution focused on building lifelong relationships with its members. They are seeking a Vice President of Lending to manage the credit union's lending functions, ensuring alignment with their mission and core values while leading a team and developing lending strategies.

Responsibilities
Accountable for planning, organizing, and directing all of the lending functions of the credit union from policies to application to underwriting to collections for all lending products
Participate in the credit union’s long- and short-term strategic planning
Oversee the development and monitoring of performance standards. Provide mentoring, coaching, and/or training to assists and develop managers and staff
Set the Loan Department’s strategic plans to align with the credit union’s overall plan. Establish and ensure the implementation of target goals for lending
Communicate credit union goals and direction with all employees to ensure clear understanding of rules, regulations, requirements, and expectations
Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures in accordance with credit union goals and strategies. Work with other departments to maintain consistency in credit union policies and procedures
Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff. Establish and maintain effective employee relations
Direct the work of lending staff in all lending areas to include underwriting, loan processing, loan documentation, and approval or denial of loans for consumer and mortgage loans
Research and evaluate the feasibility of new lending products. Develop and implement plans for expansion of lending programs. Keep abreast of changes in the industry and changing trends in lending and react to changes in a way that maintains competitiveness
Work with lending staff and members on complex issues to prevent loss to the credit union and assist the membership
Represent and promote the credit union at external functions in the community
Attend board meetings and report on assigned areas of responsibility as requested by the President
Ensure the credit union is in compliance with the state and federal laws and regulations set forth by regulatory agencies
Qualification
Required
Five to Ten years similar or related experience and/or a college degree or equivalent required
Demonstrated success in the lending arena
Strong knowledge of the Credit Union Mission and Vision Statements and Core Values
