Responsibilities

Demonstrating an understanding of our Customer's business
Designing and producing content that illustrates financial value to our Customers
Helping the pursuit team with shaping win plans consistent with our solution design
Managing the Solutions Design process and the associated internal and external SME's by holding them accountable to the overall project expectations and timeline
Creating content that is aligned with Ryder's operational & technical capabilities
Writing and delivering a compelling proposal and presentations that influence the customer decision to select Ryder
Project Management - managing cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of solution development with win strategy
Create and manage project milestones, schedule and lead team calls, manage team deliverables, and maintain effective communication across all team members as the solution develops
Meet frequently with customers and cross-functional bid response team
Support technical review presentations and design validation meetings
Develop Proposal - write compelling customer stories that clearly articulated value propositions, Ryder's differentiated value, and proposed solution
The Solution Design Manager is responsible for authoring content and taking ownership for developing the final proposal in collaboration with the Sales Lead
Collaborate with Sales leader to develop win strategy (e.g. research industry and customer to understand pain points and Ryder solutions to alleviate, understand competitive landscape to position Ryder to win, stakeholder analysis)

Required

Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or Journalism
Five (5) years or more in a similar role, coordinating activities across various functional teams, producing proposals and/or presentations in support of professional sales organizations
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex designs, concepts, and regulations into terms readily understood
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint expertise required
Ability to influence the project teams by using facts, statistics, and analytics

Preferred

Experience within a Third Party Logistics (3PL) organization is a plus
Project Management experience is a plus
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus
Proven experience in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to effectively develop content and presentations
