Responsibilities

Design and develop advanced electronic components with a focus on electrical, thermal, mechanical and reliability performance
Conduct simulations to optimize electronic component design and performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define package requirements and ensure alignment with device specifications
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and standards, to drive innovation within the team

Required

Must be currently pursuing a masters or PhD degree at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign
Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in Electrical Engineering
Proficiency in EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, Virtuoso Layout suite, Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Altium)
Understanding of signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and thermal management techniques in electronics design
Experience with simulation and modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS, HFSS, HSPICE, SiWave) for thermal, electrical, and mechanical analysis

Preferred

Experience with designing passive devices is highly preferred, and/or high-frequency and high-power component design
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as Chiplets, TSV, RDL, and Silicon Interposer
