Insurance Customer Service Representative

Dan L. Tillman & Sons Inc. is a family-owned independent insurance agency with a century of experience serving families and businesses across the Carolinas. They are looking for an Insurance Customer Service Representative to provide outstanding support to clients, including handling inquiries and processing insurance-related requests.

Responsibilities

Be the first point of contact for customers by phone, email, and in-person visits
Assist clients with questions on auto, home, and business insurance policies
Process policy changes, billing inquiries, and claims submissions
Maintain accurate client records in our agency management system
Support our sales team with quoting, cross-selling, and retention efforts
Deliver a friendly, professional experience that makes clients feel valued
Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system
Review audits or policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed, between client and carrier

Required

Prior customer service or office experience (insurance experience is a plus but not required, - we'll train the right person)
Strong communication skills (phone, email, in-person)
Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
A positive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to help others
Possess a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills, and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve complex problems without direct supervision
