Associate, Strategy and Financing, Malaria Management
The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization dedicated to improving health systems in low- and middle-income countries. The Associate will support strategic and analytical work related to malaria elimination, contributing to methodologies, tools, and frameworks that enhance resource allocation and health system efficiency across multiple countries.

Responsibilities
Conduct quantitative analyses to inform strategic planning and resource allocation across malaria and broader health system investments
Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, and frameworks that strengthen national planning processes and improve cross-disease efficiency
Support country and global teams in interpreting evidence and translating insights into actionable, high-impact program and financing recommendations for Global Fund, USG/PMI, and domestic health investments
Develop and refine global training materials, technical guidance, and analytic templates, and contribute to rapid analytic requests and donor-facing materials that shape global health decision-making
Develop Excel-based budget and cost models for malaria and cross-cutting interventions
Develop funding proposals to mobilize resources (e.g., from Global Fund) for countries
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across CHAI, government, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector at the regional, national, and subnational level
Potentially travel to remote regions with limited infrastructure and medical care; and
Other responsibilities as needed
Qualification
Required
Professional-level fluency (verbal and written) in English
Bachelor's degree in Business, Policy, Public Health, International Development, or related field
2+ years of working experience with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership in management consulting, public health financing, or another relevant field
High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Demonstrated excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple work streams simultaneously, to set priorities, and to work independently and flexibly with a strong commitment to excellence in high-pressure situations and in remote settings
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships in a challenging multicultural environment
Willingness to travel frequently (30-70% of time) globally, including potential trips to rural areas
Preferred
Proficiency in French, Portuguese, and/or Spanish
Master's degree in Business, Policy, Public Health, International Development, or related field
Experience working and communicating with government officials, multilateral organizations, or development donors
Experience living or working in resource-limited countries, especially in Africa
Experience working remotely with a decentralized/remote team
Knowledge of malaria and/or other major global infectious disease problems
Experience or knowledge of health finance, public finance, or finance for development
