Responsibilities

Teach high impact accounting courses within traditional classroom, hybrid, HyFlex, and online instructional environments
Participate in institutional development such as service and leadership on college committees, academic advising, and mentoring adjunct faculty within the discipline
Participate in scholarly engagement, professional development activities, and community service to both the BRCC campus and the local service region
Facilitate a teaching demonstration as part of the interview process
Perform other duties as assigned
Assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor

Qualification

Master’s degree in AccountingTeaching experienceOnline instruction softwareAcademic program managementCreativity in teachingCompassion in instructionDiversity engagement

Required

Master's degree in Accounting OR Master's degree in a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting
Experience using a variety of computer software programs and ability to learn new ones, particularly related to online instruction
Ability to teach students effectively and create lessons plans
Passion for the field of accounting and for teaching
Ability to use creativity, innovation, and compassion to instruct and engage students
Ability to teach a diverse student population

Preferred

Community college or university teaching experience in the classroom, hybrid, HyFlex, as well as synchronous and asynchronous online modalities
Documented track record of innovation in the classroom, teaching, and soft skills
Academic program management experience or program management equivalent
Demonstrated ability to work well with others
