Senior Level, Lead/Staff, Director/ExecutiveOmnis Partners is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to design, build, and run production-grade agentic AI systems. The role involves taking ideas from proof of concept to scalable platforms for enterprise and public-sector clients, focusing on the full lifecycle of agentic architectures and production APIs.

Responsibilities
Design agentic architectures: Own full agent lifecycles (plan → execute → learn) using DAGs, state machines, or custom orchestration
Build production APIs & tooling: Develop robust services and SDKs using FastAPI, with strong schemas, validation, retries, and rate controls
Implement memory & retrieval layers: Deliver semantic and episodic memory, retrieval pipelines, deduplication, and summarisation agents
Deploy at scale: Ship containerised systems across Kubernetes, serverless, and GPU environments with CI/CD, monitoring, and auto-scaling
Harden reliability: Implement guardrails, cost and latency controls, checkpointing, and reviewer/critic patterns
Evaluate performance: Build automated tests, golden datasets, retrieval benchmarks, and drift monitoring
Partner with stakeholders: Lead workshops, shape roadmaps, and translate complex AI systems into practical delivery plans
Qualification
Required
Proven experience building and operating LLM or agentic systems in production
Strong engineering fundamentals across orchestration, state/memory, deployment, and observability
Experience with agent frameworks or patterns (e.g. LangGraph, ReAct) or equivalent custom implementations
Comfortable in client-facing environments, providing technical leadership and guidance
Preferred
Degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field
Experience with FastAPI, PyTorch or TensorFlow, vector databases, RAG, and orchestration tools
Background in start-ups or consulting environments
Exposure to regulated industries
Self-driven, ownership-focused mindset
