Responsibilities
You will independently manage and deliver customer implementations including:
AvaTax core configuration and integrations
Returns setup and go live preparation
Exemption Certificate Management (ECM) implementations
Avalara for Accounts Payable, where applicable
Customer kickoff calls, working sessions, and closeout meetings
Configuration, testing, issue resolution, and go live readiness
Maintaining clear documentation and implementation notes
You will be expected to manage timelines, customer communication, and day to day implementation tasks for your assigned projects
Qualification
Required
Active Avalara AvaTax certification
Experience participating in and leading AvaTax implementations
Hands on experience with Returns and ECM
Comfortable meeting directly with customers and leading working sessions
Solid understanding of sales tax basics and business workflows
Ability to work independently without constant oversight
Availability at least 3 days per week
Clear, professional communication skills
Preferred
Experience working with a Certified Implementation Partner
Exposure to multiple ERPs or ecommerce platforms
Experience supporting multi entity or growing businesses
