Emirates Nuclear Energy Company (ENEC) is focused on growth and seeks a Senior Development Manager for Infrastructure to lead new project developments and investments. Responsibilities

Through market research, participation in industry events or professional networking, cold calling or social media to identify new business opportunities within the nuclear energy sector
Utilize personal and professional contacts in the USA and other selected geographies, to position ENEC as a leading player in the nuclear market in the country
Finalize ENEC’s go-to-market strategy and implement the relevant market entry decisions and priority projects
Assess the client needs and risks. Propose the development of the project if it fits with ENEC’s BD and Investment strategy. Based on a GO/NO GO approval process, arrange the coordination with the team for the project development and the technical studies
Lead technical, legal, finance, regulatory and project development teams to ensure successful project development that meets partners’ expectations and timelines. supervise the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and presentations with a particular focus on stakeholders coordination, relationship and account management. Provide all the necessary information/explanations for the good understanding of the proposal by the stakeholders till the signature of the final project agreements
Monitor and ensure that development of pipeline assets achieve their budget, schedule and quality targets, including by identifying, mobilizing and managing resources for each project, acting as project lead and presenting to relevant steering committees
Participate in the business strategy, business planning and objectives setting processes
Ensure that projects’ commercial risk and reward are correctly balanced
Autonomously and independently establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with potential partners and clients, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of partners in their country energy strategy or their industry. Continually assess stakeholders needs/feedback and support the project
Maintain and foster knowledge of industry trends, technological advancements, and policy changes related to nuclear energy project development and investments< and incorporate relevant innovations and best practices into project strategies
Act as mentor for direct reports and other ENEC employees, educate on strategic role and benefits of BD & Investments, as well as associated risks
Help ENEC to develop a growth culture, using partnerships, long term vision, efficient use of capital to improve operations, expand capacity, etc
Contribute to developing ENEC’s financial standards for BD and Investments
Develop and maintain complex financial models based on international investment standards, in collaboration with internal staff and consultants
Ensure constant monitoring of financial caution in BD and Investments, constantly seek to optimize risk / return strategic choices
Monitor the development and implementation of relevant sensitivity analysis for investment files and collaborate across internal functions to develop financial model inputs and assumptions while maintaining accuracy of inputs into financial models
Ensure identification of main project economic and financial risks and advise on the appropriate mitigation factors and definition of appropriate contingencies
Develop, analyze, evaluate, and recommend financial options and proposals as they relate to business development projects and acquisitions, or other funding needs
Support internal approvals process for new economic commitments and associated financing arrangements
Support the structuring, negotiation, and execution of financing documents for medium to large size transactions, in accordance with best project finance practices of the ENEC group
Develop presentations for lender and management updates and discussions
Ensure commitment to a culture of continuous improvement by eliminating waste, following operations procedures, practicing innovation, problem solving, and teamwork; complying with Quality Management System policies and procedures; providing and receiving constructive feedback; and striving to meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations

Required

Min. 15y work experience preferably in corporate development, infrastructure project development and project finance, with a proven track record of successfully executing greenfield and brownfield projects
Track record in autonomously identifying, assessing, developing, structuring ad completing project financed energy projects
Proven leadership in project development and commercial structuring: viability assessment, critical project structure design, key commercial contracts (PPAs, EPC, O&M, FSA, land lease, etc.), joint ventures and partnerships, funding strategy & fundraising, implementation planning
Track record, credibility as a leader, and active network in priority in the US nuclear power market, accessorily in the European market as well
