Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. They are seeking a Learning Specialist to support training programs within the Facility Training & Compliance group, focusing on the development and implementation of training protocols and compliance programs for personnel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Assisting customers, stakeholders and training department personnel to assure training programs meet customer needs, regulatory drivers, and contractual requirements
Organize and administer exams, quizzes, and training in a controlled environment
Prepares and manages training materials and data entry collection (exam log)
Managing Proctor Room scheduling requests throughout multiple training facilities
Course scheduling, including managing and implementing complex, overlapping schedules
Learning Management System Administration (training assignments, issuing credit, managing course registration, creating scheduled offerings, course management, running reports)
Managing and tracking Training Service Request tickets, assigning resources to review and approve training forms, and issue credit
Maintaining compliant and high-quality training documents and records for diverse audiences
Assisting with course management objectives
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of business activities in an operational environment, including familiarity with one or more of the following: program management, compliance practices, records management, training qualification programs or working in a proctoring environment
Experience implementing training/education programs for a wide variety of target audiences
Experience administering training and proctoring exams or quizzes in a controlled environment
Maintaining training documents and records, both physical and electronic to ensure records and documents are preserved in the repository and in accordance with policies and procedures
Experience working with customers, stakeholders, and regulators to assure training programs meet customer needs, regulatory drivers, and contractual requirements and providing guidance in interpreting regulations and policies to ensure compliance
Knowledge of business and operations systems and standard software applications (i.e. Microsoft and Adobe products). Ability to quickly learn and adapt to the use of LANL business systems (i.e. Oracle, UTrain, Issues Management, etc.). Ability to effectively manage multiple complex and overlapping calendars
Experience working with confidential or proprietary information, classified documents or sensitive information, including CUI-Privacy training records. Understanding of safety and security requirements to individual responsibility and as applicable to training activities
Demonstrated experience and ability to conceptualize and communicate program requirements and detailed elements to both technical and non-technical personnel
Demonstrated skill with interpersonal, written, and verbal communications as evidenced by internal and/or external interactions, seminars, briefings, and presentations. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to provide clear, concise support and guidance to others in sometimes stressful situations
Ability to interact professionally with all types of personnel, including external interfaces and executive management
Position requires an Associate's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
