Confectionery Product Developer (Hard Candy / Lollipops) – Project Job

Baddie Pops is a modern consumer brand creating beauty-forward indulgences designed to turn everyday moments into intentional rituals. They are seeking an experienced Confectionery Product Developer to formulate a premium hard-candy lollipop base that is delicious, clean-label, and manufacturing-ready.

Retail

Responsibilities

Develop a hard-candy lollipop base formula optimized for flavor, clarity, and mouthfeel
Create natural flavor systems (sweetness, acidity, aroma balance)
Ensure the formula is stable and scalable for commercial manufacturing
Design the base to accommodate future functional ingredients (e.g., minerals, collagen) without compromising quality
Provide detailed ingredient lists, ratios/ranges, and process notes
Produce and ship physical lollipop samples for tasting and feedback
Support 1–2 iteration rounds based on sensory feedback and manufacturing input

Required

Hands-on experience in confectionery formulation, specifically hard candy or lollipops
Strong understanding of sugar systems, acids, flavors, and heat processing

Familiarity with manufacturing constraints and scale-up considerations
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a remote setup

Preferred

Experience designing candy bases that later incorporate functional or supplemental ingredients
Prior work with premium or artisanal confectionery brands
