Responsibilities
Ensure all electrical work—performed by technicians or contractors—is safe and meets regulatory requirements
Lead Electrical Safe Work Practices (ESWP) and Energy Isolation (EI) programs
Maintain process and quality instrumentation to meet environmental and quality standards
Keep the Maintenance Manager informed on department issues including union matters, budgets, equipment reliability, and interdepartmental coordination
Develop and maintain predictive and preventive maintenance programs for electrical and control systems
Monitor plant electrical equipment daily to ensure reliability
Plan, prioritize, schedule, and assign electrical and control system work; coordinate with other departments
Review work effectiveness and initiate corrective actions when necessary
Maintain accurate electrical documentation (equipment files, compliance records, specifications, repair history)
Assist in developing the electrical department budget and ensure compliance
Collaborate with the PLT to prioritize improvement activities and CAPEX projects
Evaluate and implement computer control systems; define, write, and maintain process control programs
Provide training and guidance on control systems for plant personnel
Troubleshoot control system hardware and software issues
Manage plant improvement documentation and support CAPEX initiatives
Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies; promote a culture of safety
Qualification
Required
Technical degree or 8 years of equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of electrical supervision and project experience
PLC programming experience and knowledge of HMI systems
SAP, Microsoft Office
Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved PPE, including respirators where applicable
