Structural Engineer
Frontenac Engineering Group is a small established civil and structural engineering firm that values collaboration and client trust. They are seeking a structural engineer with 3 to 4 years of experience who can communicate effectively and work collaboratively to solve client needs.

Responsibilities
Proficient in performing structural engineering design and calculations
Familiarity with design codes such as IBC, ASCE-7, AISC 360, ACI 318, etc
Comfortable reading and reviewing structural drawing packages and specifications
Ability to work with multiple materials such as structural steel, concrete, and wood
Reading and coordinating vendor drawings (i.e. PEMB or equipment drawings)
Foundation and anchorage design
Self-directed and mentally engaged with ambition for learning
Able to competently communicate in person and in writing. Must be willing to ask questions
Able to work closely with, creatively contribute to, and take direction from, a team of professionals
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting amongst engineers, architects, contractors, and other construction personnel
Qualification
Required
Engaged and curious problem solver who is a structural engineer with at least 3 to 4 years experience and is planning to become licensed
Ability to engage and communicate with staff and clients to gain their trust
Comfortable collaborating with other team members to find solutions
Proficient in performing structural engineering design and calculations
Familiarity with design codes such as IBC, ASCE-7, AISC 360, ACI 318, etc
Comfortable reading and reviewing structural drawing packages and specifications
Ability to work with multiple materials such as structural steel, concrete, and wood
Reading and coordinating vendor drawings (i.e. PEMB or equipment drawings)

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination
Preferred
Experience in structural design software such as RISA3D, RISAFND, Enercalc, TEDS, etc
Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit
Experience in Structural Engineering preferred, with preference given to candidates who have experience working on industrial projects
