Sentara Health is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to manage and coordinate all aspects of conducting clinical trials within Sentara Healthcare. The role involves ensuring studies are conducted in compliance with protocol guidelines and federal regulations, while also acting as a liaison between investigators and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all aspects of conducting clinical trials within Sentara Healthcare, both clinically and administratively

Utilize in-depth knowledge of protocol requirements to ensure that studies are properly conducted in conformance with the protocol guidelines, departmental standards and good clinical practices as set forth by federal regulations

Ensure sound conduct of the clinical trial including recruitment, screening, enrollment and follow-up of eligible subjects according to protocol requirements

Maintain accurate and complete documentation of related regulatory documents

Act as liaison between the investigators, the institutional review board (IRB), and the sponsor

Required

Bachelor's degree

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI required within 90 days

Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), Association of Clinical Research Professionals - Certified Professional (ACRP-CP) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (ACRP-CCRC) required within 3 years of employment

3 years of clinical research or clinical experience required
