Responsibilities

Prepares, files and maintains Professional Employer Organization related licenses and registrations in all states that have such requirements
Monitors authority to do business in all jurisdictions including, but not limited to, identifying registered agents and working with state agencies and other various regulatory units, including assumed name requirements and filings required for doing business in various states and counties
Monitors city/county business licenses as required for corporate locations and/or client sites; prepares and processes accordingly
Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with state and local agency personnel
Provides a range of administrative support to Governmental Affairs Practice Group (GAPG) to include preparing correspondence as needed, expense reports and the GAPG budget spreadsheet
Corresponds with outside lobbyists regarding retainer agreements, invoices, and lobbyist reports; prepares and files as required
Serves as liaison to federal workforce agencies regarding Company and client employer surveys used for statistical data; prepares and processes accordingly
Assists in the compilation and reconciliation of client information reports and coordinates with other departments to ensure the accuracy of client data maintained in AIMS and Workday; generates and submits routine client reports as required
Responds to internal and external inquiries regarding compliance issues with guidance from management
Maintains compliance calendar, state compliance files, and compliance procedures
Performs duties as may be required by Vice President, Governmental & Regulatory Affairs, Government Affairs Directors and Legal Department attorneys on specific projects
Utilizes computer hardware and software applications relevant to the Legal Department, including, but not limited to, company databases, spreadsheet and word processing programs, and legal research

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Preferred

Minimum of two years college credit preferred
Two to four years law department experience or experience with a PEO preferred
