Responsibilities
Manage insurance defense and construction defect cases, overseeing all phases from initial evaluation to resolution
Conduct thorough case assessments and develop strategic litigation budgets to guide case progression
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents while ensuring compliance with case strategies
Handle depositions effectively, including preparation, execution, and defense to align with litigation goals
Respond to all stages of litigation, including trial preparation and law & motion matters
Utilize legal case management software to organize case files and ensure accurate billing practices
Collaborate with clients to maintain strong communication and provide updates on case developments
Meet billable hour requirements, typically between 1,500 and 1,850 hours annually
Stay informed on legal trends and changes in insurance defense and construction defect litigation
Ensure high-quality representation and advocacy during all litigation phases
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctorate (JD) and active admission to practice law in the relevant state
At least 5 years of experience specializing in insurance defense and/or construction defect litigation
Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases, including evaluations and budgeting
Proficiency in drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial
Strong deposition skills and familiarity with civil litigation processes
Excellent communication skills for building and maintaining client relationships
Experience with legal case management software and commitment to accurate billing practices
Solid understanding of law & motion matters and trial preparation techniques
