Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing data engineering team, including managers and junior staff
Data Architecture & Engineering: Design and maintain secure, efficient ML/AI ecosystems using GCP and Snowflake. Implement data maturity principles (Bronze to Silver to Gold) in a Marketing-owned data lake, in collaboration with enterprise data architects
Innovation & Business Impact: Partner with business leaders, product managers, and data scientists to deliver impactful data solutions. Drive innovation for bringing insights to life across each type of analytics (descriptive to predictive). This includes agentic concepts for insights extraction and contextualization
Governance & Compliance: Collaborate with Data Governance to establish and implement best practices for data quality, compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and security
DevOps & Deployment: Ensure robust DevOps processes for code development and deployment
Data Modeling & BI: Develop data models and architecture for analytics and reporting. Deliver dynamic, intuitive decision tools and visualizations (PowerBI)
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate business requirements into engineering specifications. Bridge technical and business teams with clear communication. Automate ad-hoc data needs over time
Qualification
Required
10+ years in ETL, BI, and Data Analytics
5+ years in Big Data systems, pipelines, and processing
Expertise in data architecture, modeling, and Big Data processing
Experience with ML/AI Ops using GCP and Snowflake as well as emerging technologies
Proven experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams
Skilled in API integration and SQL-friendly pipeline design
Familiarity with data privacy standards and compliance
Strong knowledge of visualization best practices across multi-modal interfaces (PowerBI, UIs, AI for BI)
Excellent communication, time management, stakeholder management and attention to detail
Preferred
Understanding of LLM foundations and architecture
