Responsibilities

Ensure the general ledger and reported financial information are correct, timely, and complete

Design, implement, maintain, monitor, and test internal controls related to GL accounts

Comply with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations

Manage specific GL accounts, including monthly entries, monitoring, and reconciliations

Monitor and investigate trends in the GL and financial statements

Oversee the department’s compliance with internal controls and GL account reconciliations

Handle portfolio accounting entries and reconciliations for Investment Accounting

Prepare various financial statement documents and supporting data for Financial Reporting

Identify and explain trends or variances to budget in GL accounts

Prepare data needed for various regulatory reports, including FDIC Call Report and SEC reports
