Responsibilities

Distributes, balances, monitors and reports on workload in accordance with established workflow or job specialization. Assures equitable distribution among employees and timely accomplishment of assigned work load
Amends or rejects work not meeting established standards and refers to supervisor any problems on meeting performance standards
Maintains current knowledge of procedures, policies and directives; answers questions; and provides both classroom and OJT instruction to employees
Resolves simple informal complaints, refers others to supervisor; reports on performance, progress and training needs of employees and on disciplinary problems
Performs administrative duties in the absence of the manager
Makes suggestions concerning personnel actions and recognition of outstanding performance

Required

One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service
Experience using business tax law, IRM, IRC, IRS collection techniques and enforcement actions, tax forms, notices, bills, and other documents to advise the taxpayer of options for meeting tax obligations
Investigative/probing techniques to solicit relevant information
Communicating specialized information orally or in writing with internal and external customers regarding inventory management procedures
Providing clear and concise replies to taxpayers or their representatives
Experience processing IMF Rejects and IMF RAW
Meet applicable TIG requirements to be considered eligible
Current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non-temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate
