NEOGOV is seeking a Departmental Analyst for the Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) to support public service initiatives. The role involves reviewing compliance cases related to insurance licensees, conducting research, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Review active insurance licensees to ensure compliance with applicable requirements
Research and review reports of misconduct, including insurer appointment terminations for cause and disciplinary actions taken by other states
Maintain records on compliance cases and associated data
Coordinate case priority and prepare case summaries and detailed compliance action referrals
Monitor enforcement of licensees and actions
Serve as the liaison for the Licensing Section with the Office of General Counsel and other states’ insurance department regulators

Required

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Departmental Analyst 9: No specific type or amount of experience is required
Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience
Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service
Departmental Analyst 12: Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement

The desire to travel to diverse work locations for examinations, training opportunities, and conferences
