The role involves performing various tasks to maintain quarry operations, including cleanup, equipment maintenance, and assisting with material handling while ensuring safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by shoveling, sweeping, and removing debris around plant and quarry areas

Material Handling: Assist with moving, loading, and unloading raw materials and finished products as directed

Equipment Support: Help operators with basic maintenance, lubrication, and inspection of quarry equipment

Safety Compliance: Follow all company and MSHA safety rules, wear required PPE, and report unsafe conditions immediately

Plant Assistance: Support plant operations by monitoring conveyors, chutes, and screens to ensure smooth material flow

Manual Labor Tasks: Perform physical work such as lifting, digging, and using hand or power tools as needed

Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and equipment operators to complete daily production and maintenance tasks efficiently

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience working in an outdoor environment

Dependable, hardworking, and willing to take on physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions

Understands and follows all safety rules, PPE requirements, and quarry regulations

Works well with others, communicates effectively, and supports crew and equipment operators as needed

Basic understanding of tools, machinery, and maintenance procedures

Flexible to handle changing tasks, schedules, and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Observes surroundings carefully and identifies potential safety or equipment issues promptly

Consistent attendance and punctuality to maintain production and operational efficiency
