Head of National Account Sales

Responsibilities

Lead Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop, implement, and refine the national sales strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and in-market processing capabilities. You'll be responsible for creating detailed execution plans to achieve ambitious sales targets
National Service Network: Develop and grow a network of service provider partnerships across the country that can execute nationally scoped service opportunities in all 50 states
Performance Reporting: Regularly report to the leadership team on sales progress against targets, key performance indicators, and market trends
Team Leadership and Development: As the National Sales Strategy develops and progresses, recruit, train, mentor, and lead a high-performing national sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and success
Custom Solutions Development: Work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and develop tailored, value-driven solutions
P&L Management: Be comfortable with and contribute to the management of the sales P&L, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial drivers

Required

4+ years of experience leading and managing sales teams, demonstrating the ability to inspire and guide them to achieve exceptional results
A strong preference for a hands-on leadership style, someone who is comfortable with direct involvement in sales processes and execution
Ability to travel 3-4 days per week to engage with clients, support the sales team, and attend industry events
Demonstrated comfort and experience with running or contributing to a P&L
Proven ability to create and present custom solutions that address specific client challenges

Preferred

Experience within the waste, recycling, or similar services sectors
Comfort with financial modeling and/or business case development
Experience with negotiating and closing value-based deals
