The AI Innovation Lead will oversee the Data Science Lab, leading a team to develop and implement AI/ML solutions that enhance various business functions such as underwriting and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

Set direction for the Data Science Lab and align efforts with business and transformation priorities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists
Communicate progress, risks, and opportunities to executive stakeholders
Identify and evaluate emerging AI/ML techniques and technologies
Lead experimentation in deep learning, generative AI, and large language models (LLMs)
Apply AI/ML to structured and unstructured data (e.g., policies, claims, customer interactions)
Translate research and experimentation into scalable, high-impact solutions
Establish best practices and governance for responsible AI development and deployment
Recommend tools and platforms to support model lifecycle management
Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver AI-driven solutions

Qualification

Machine LearningDeep LearningNatural Language ProcessingPythonTechnical Mentorship

Required

PhD (6+ yrs), Master's (8+ yrs), or Bachelor's (10+ yrs) in a relevant technical field
7+ years of hands-on ML development experience
Deep expertise in deep learning, NLP, and LLMs
Strong Python skills (PyTorch and/or TensorFlow)
Experience with GPU and distributed computing
Proven people leadership and technical mentorship experience
