Responsibilities

You will empower clients to achieve financial security and build a rewarding career in NYC
Through a distinctive and holistic planning approach, Northwestern Mutual empowers clients to make the most of every day and plan for important moments in their future
You will partner with clients to create personalized financial plans that address a broad set of objectives, helping them protect what they have worked hard to achieve while also growing their assets for the future
The role requires on-site presence in the Midtown NYC office for at least the first few months of employment to ensure comprehensive training, mentorship, and integration into the culture of excellence
After this period, a transition to a hybrid and work-life balanced schedule is available

Required

Bachelor's degree
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
Willingness to undergo a background check
Ability to commute to the Midtown NYC office within 1.5 hours
Willingness to work onsite for the first several months of employment
You are proficient in Sales, Investment analysis, Customer service, Client needs assessment, Business development
You are a novice in Wealth management, Financial planning
English - Conversational

Preferred

Financial licenses such as Life and Health, Series 6, 7, or 63, preferred but not required
Analytical thinking and ability to assess client needs
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Sales, presentation, and customer service skills
Organization, time management, and interpersonal skills
Experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles
Experience working on commission-based compensation structures
Understanding of the fast-paced culture of Midtown Manhattan
