The Utility Operator supports safe and efficient quarry operations by operating heavy equipment, assisting with material handling, and performing routine inspections and basic maintenance in compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

Operate quarry equipment including crushers, conveyors, loaders, and haul trucks

Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance of equipment

Assist with loading, hauling, and processing of raw materials

Monitor production processes and report equipment issues or safety hazards

Support maintenance and production teams with troubleshooting and repairs

Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and material movement

Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

Assist with site organization, setup, and cleanup activities

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 3 years' experience operating heavy equipment (haul truck, dozer, excavator, skid steer, forklift)

Basic mechanical aptitude, including exposure to electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems

Knowledge of industrial safety practices and hazard prevention

Ability to communicate effectively with team members

Ability to perform the essential functions of the role safely

Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
