Responsibilities
Perform laboratory and field sampling and testing of aggregate materials
Verify that materials produced and shipped meet required specifications
Analyze quality data, identify trends, and support problem-solving related to material performance
Assist with documentation of material control plans, procedures, and project-specific quality requirements
Perform routine service, repair, and calibration of laboratory and field testing equipment
Maintain accurate records in quality control and quality assurance databases and spreadsheets
Provide reports, summaries, and analyses as needed
Learn and understand plant flow and aggregate production operations
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to internal and external stakeholders
Work independently with general supervision
Travel between regional sites and work overtime as required by operational needs
Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and actively promote a culture of safety
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Ability to work in an industrial or outdoor environment
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google applications)
Strong attention to detail, dependability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Two years of post-secondary technical education or coursework in laboratory sciences
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Geology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, or related field
Prior experience in materials testing or aggregate quality control
