Database Administration and ETL Subject Matter Expert
Abacus Service Corporation is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Database Administration and ETL for the U.S. Department of Education โ Office of Inspector General. Responsibilities
The contractor filling this role as a Subject Matter Expert in Database Administration and ETL must already have an active T4 High Risk Public Trust background clearance before the work begins
Must know relational database configuration, focusing on Oracle and MS SQL Server platforms, as well as database design and administration expertise to fill the technical requirements associated with these service requests
Typically has 6 to 10 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Database Administration and ETL with experience in Oracle data loading tools, including, but not limited to, SQL*Loader and Data Pump, as well as Windows and Linux scripts for loading automation
Extensive knowledge and experience in SQL programming using query tools such as SQL Plus/Scripts, PL/SQL, and Toad
Qualification
Required
Active T4 High Risk Public Trust background clearance before the work begins
Relational database configuration, focusing on Oracle and MS SQL Server platforms
Database design and administration expertise
Typically has 6 to 10 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Database Administration and ETL
Experience in Oracle data loading tools, including SQL*Loader and Data Pump
Experience with Windows and Linux scripts for loading automation
Extensive knowledge and experience in SQL programming using query tools such as SQL Plus/Scripts, PL/SQL, and Toad
Extensive knowledge and experience in Oracle tuning, including SQL tuning/optimizing
Demonstrated knowledge of terminology, usage, and operating characteristics of information systems' hardware, software, and operating system components within the client-server and web environment
Ability to perform the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) process
Ability to analyze and evaluate moderate to highly complex information systems
Ability to interact with end users and monitor the operations of ODAS systems
Ability to create SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
Ability to coordinate with OIG system administrators and DAS staff to deploy application(s) to ODAS systems
Ability to provide guidance and instructions to a team of junior-level staff members
Ability to translate OIG project requirements into detailed system/design requirements
Ability to design, install, configure, implement, and integrate the full range of Oracle data warehouse on RAC including ASM on SAN
Ability to define and implement the secured network data files transmission with SAIG message class/TDClient, SFTP, and VPN NetScaler
Ability to process the full range of end-to-end ETL processes
Serve as a production manager to interact with end users and monitor the operations of ODAS systems
Must be able to implement the Oracle and Linux security with Shell programming, MS Share Point, and MS Office
Ability to research and perform system analysis to allow for a fully functional big data system and unstructured database
Shall be able to assist in implementing the version upgrade, changes, and patches in silent mode for the Oracle Grid Infrastructure, RAC Database, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Database Vault
