Responsibilities

Set vision and direction for Engineering and Maintenance departments aligned with organizational goals

Develop and implement long-term maintenance and engineering strategies, including capital improvement plans

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, cost reduction, and operational efficiency

Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards

Lead and mentor managers and supervisors within Maintenance and Engineering teams

Establish performance metrics and accountability systems for departmental success

Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning for critical roles

Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and innovation

Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are optimized for uptime and cost efficiency

Oversee major equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning projects

Collaborate with production leadership to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize downtime

Manage vendor relationships for equipment, parts, and service contracts

Develop and manage departmental budgets, including capital expenditures

Monitor and report on maintenance and engineering KPIs, cost performance, and ROI for projects

Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety

Partner with Quality, Safety, and Production teams to ensure operational goals are met

Serve as a key liaison for corporate engineering initiatives and technology upgrades
