BUSINESS TAXES ADMINISTRATOR III, BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is seeking dynamic leaders for the role of Business Taxes Administrator III. This position involves leading a team in the Registration & Return Processing Branch, developing policies, and collaborating with various divisions to administer tax programs effectively.

Responsibilities
Leading a team of supervisory, compliance, audit, and support team members
Plans, develops, recommends, and implements section-wide policy and procedures
Providing input to the Chief on emerging issues related to compliance and audit functions
Having a broad knowledge provisions of various taxes and fee programs administered by the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA)
Works cooperatively with other CDTFA divisions and state agencies in the administration of these programs for their agencies
Serves in a key leadership capacity on the PCB management team, and is an integral part of the Business Taxes and Fees Division and the CDTFA’s overall management team
Qualification
Required
Have a permanent civil service appointment with CDTFA, or
Are current or former employees of the legislature for 2 or more years as defined in Government Code 18990, or
Are current or former non-elected exempt employees of the executive branch for 2 or more consecutive years as defined in Govt. Code 18992, or
Are persons retired from the United States military honorably discharged from active duty with a service disability or honorably discharged from active duty as defined in Government Code 18991. Applicants must provide a copy of discharge papers (DD 214) for verification purposes at the time of application
