Mechanical Engineer – Missile System Design
PGS Worldwide is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Missile System Design to support a major aerospace and defense client in Chandler, AZ. The role involves performing mechanical analysis, CAD design, and testing of complex structural components as part of a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities
Perform mechanical analysis, CAD design, or mechanical testing of complex materials, structural components, and functional systems for missile products
Use advanced structural and product design engineering software tools along with Siemens NX
Develop test programs to evaluate system elements and manage test article fabrication
Manage test activities, including the documentation of results
Seek creative, new, and different ways to accomplish engineering outcomes
Collaborate with internal and external customers to present analysis and test results
Qualification
Required
Active US DoD Secret Security clearance is required
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of experience (Manager is targeting candidates with 3–15 years of experience)
Experience with mechanical CAD design, preferably using Siemens NX
Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and their application to designs
Experience performing mechanical analysis and developing test programs to evaluate system elements (materials, structural components)
Ability to communicate project status and analysis results through written reports or presentations
Preferred
Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
Hands-on Mechanical Integration experience, preferably in the Aerospace field
Solid written and verbal communication skills
