Responsibilities
Lead technical accounting research and application , ensuring compliance with US GAAP (ASC 944) and regulatory requirements
Support reinsurance, warranty, and insurance accounting activities
Provide analytical support for monthly financial reporting packages
Assist with the financial close process and preparation of financial disclosures
Develop, maintain, and update accounting policies and procedures
Support internal controls and coordination with tax and external auditors
Partner closely with the Corporate Controller on complex accounting matters
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Active CPA license (credential and state(s) must be verifiable)
4+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong experience with US GAAP technical accounting
Proven exposure to insurance, reinsurance, or warranty accounting
Preferred
Big 4 / National Firm: Audit or Advisory Seniors / Managers with insurance clients
Insurance / Reinsurance / Warranty companies: Assistant Controllers
