Student Assistant - Biology Lab Course Creator

Georgia Gwinnett College is dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience to its students. The Biology Department is seeking a Student Assistant to collaborate with faculty and fellow students to create laboratory materials for the BIOL2251K course, including videos and instruction guides.

Responsibilities

With guidance of faculty, develop laboratory materials (e.g. videos, instruction guides) for BIOL2251K
Collaborate with fellow students as well as faculty to create laboratory materials (e.g. videos, instruction guides) for BIOL2251K
Test laboratory exercises and develop videos and instruction guides for the laboratory exercises
Light administrative work such as copying and data collection and organization

Qualification

AnatomyPhysiologyLaboratory experienceMicrosoft OfficeLMS experienceGroup collaborationTime managementCommunication skillsOrganizational skills

Required

Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Georgia Gwinnett College
Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment
Must be in good conduct standing with the Office of Student Integrity and maintain good conduct for the duration of employment
Professional demeanor with excellent ability to work in group settings
Ability to be highly organized, attentive to details, time management, and multi-tasking skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Has taken a course in Anatomy and Physiology or Anatomy/Physiology at Georgia Gwinnett College

Preferred

Experience with laboratories in Anatomy and Physiology courses
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience with software such as Microsoft Office and use of LMS such as Desire to Learn
